Sun Lab

Nicknamed the 'Sun Lounge' by some SOC technicans, due to the amount of time some TermiSoc members spent in it, the Sun Lab was the central location for TermiSoc until it was removed by the Uni to make way for a NT4/Red Hat 6 lab in 1998. (boo hiss!)

All of the machines in the Sun Lab were named after greek gods (anyone remember the names of more of them?)

The Sun Lab was a SOC lab equipped with old Sun machines:

• SPARCStation SLC (most of them - Dionysus, Pollux etc)
• SPARCStation ELC (3 - Flora, Hades, ....)
• SPARCStation 1 (2 - Aphrodite, Callisto)

The Sun Lab was run by School Of Compting tech Mabs (Mark Flamank), and he has a *proper* Unix Beard!
