About this tutorial

Tutorial No. : 7
Date : 24/1/06
Tutor : Edward McCaughan

What's it about?

Ed "the Irish guy with an unpronouncable surname" McCaughan follows up on his suggestion of a tutorial on computer-game programming by getting roped into giving a tutorial on the subject by the dedicated slackers in the Exec.

It'll be hopefully language-independant, so you can go home afterwards and write your own games in your language of choice, whether that's Java or C++, or even Delphi or Smalltalk.

We're in Babbage 105 all this term - that's the one right at the very end of the corridor. As usual, we start at 18:30; bring your friends and they only pay a pound.

note that this will make very little sense unless you see me pointing at the screen at the right point, but nevermind. it has pretty pac mac pictures.

note:does not actually exist just yet.

  • [[1]here is the actual plan that I worked from during the tutorial.] It makes a pretty good summary of the tutorial if you can't be bothered listening to the whole thing.
